Navigating Leadership: Loeb Leadership Sets Sail with HR Professionals

The HR Cruise, hosted by Aspect Travel, is more than just a getaway—it's an opportunity for HR professionals to connect, learn, and grow while sailing through the Caribbean. This year, Loeb Leadership was proud to be a sponsor, with Natalie Loeb, Founder and CEO, joining for her first-ever cruise experience.

In a conversation with Cynthia Thompson, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, publisher and editor for HR Professionals Magazine, Natalie reflected on the power of community, professional development, and why HR leaders should consider hopping aboard next year.

The Power of HR Networking at Sea

For Natalie, the experience was eye-opening.

"I’ve already been texting people, telling them they have to join next year!" she shared enthusiastically. “The networking is incredible—being surrounded by HR peers, exchanging ideas, and forming connections in such a relaxed environment makes this cruise unlike any other conference.”

With support from SHRM State Councils from New York, Florida, and Ohio, the HR Cruise continues to expand. Last year’s event hosted 40 attendees—this year, it grew to 100.

"That growth is exactly what caught my attention," Natalie said. "It showed me how valuable this experience is for HR professionals. As a sponsor, I wanted to be part of something that brings the HR community together in such a meaningful way."

How Loeb Leadership Supports HR Professionals

Loeb Leadership isn’t just about supporting HR professionals on a cruise—it’s about helping them build thriving organizations year-round.

With a background in HR, learning & development, and organizational psychology, Natalie founded Loeb Leadership 27 years ago after working in-house at a large firm.

"I’ve been in HR. I know the challenges. I know where HR professionals need support," she explained.

What started as a small consulting practice has grown into a nationwide team of over 60 consultants, providing leadership development, management training, coaching, and organizational consulting to companies across industries.

"We help organizations build strong, inclusive leaders through customized programs—whether virtual or in person," Natalie shared. "It’s about creating a workplace where people don’t just succeed at work, but take those skills home and into their communities."
