Natalie Loeb Joins the New York State Council for SHRM
Congratulations on your new role with the New York State Council for SHRM! Can you tell us a bit about what this position entails?
Natalie: Thank you! I am truly honored to join the New York State Council for SHRM. The State Council acts as a bridge between SHRM and local chapters within New York State, facilitating the flow of information and resources. With SHRM’s vast network of over 300,000 members nationwide, it serves as a critical voice for all things related to work, workers, and the workplace. My role will specifically focus on promoting diversity and helping the council share important information with chapters across the state. I aim to leverage SHRM’s extensive resources to foster collaborative growth and support for all our members.
What motivated you to accept this role, and what do you hope to achieve?
Natalie: My motivation stems from a deep commitment to creating inclusive workplaces and fostering professional growth. At Loeb Leadership, we have always prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion, and this role provides an excellent platform to expand these values within SHRM. I am eager to work with a new team of leaders and contribute to SHRM’s mission of creating better workplaces. My goal is to assist in leveraging SHRM’s resources to facilitate collaborative growth and enhance the support system for HR professionals across New York.
How do you envision your experience and background contributing to your work with SHRM?
Natalie: My background in leadership and organizational development has equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to support SHRM’s initiatives effectively. At Loeb Leadership, we focus on unlocking the potential of organizations and their people through tailored coaching, learning and development programs, and strategic consulting. This experience aligns perfectly with SHRM’s objectives, and I believe it will allow me to provide valuable contributions to the council and our local chapters. I also always enjoy meeting new people and learning about the cultures of other organizations.
What specific initiatives or projects are you most excited about working on with the New York State Council for SHRM?
Natalie: I am particularly excited about initiatives that promote DEI&B within the workplace. Ensuring that every professional feels valued and included is crucial for organizational success. Additionally, I look forward to helping disseminate SHRM’s comprehensive resources and best practices to our local chapters, facilitating professional development opportunities, introducing talented individuals passionate about DEI to the council and each other, and creating networks of support for HR professionals throughout the state.
How do you see this new role influencing your work at Loeb Leadership?
Natalie: This role is a natural extension of the work we do at Loeb Leadership. It provides a broader platform to influence positive change within the HR community and beyond. The insights and experiences I gain from working with SHRM will undoubtedly enrich our programs and services at Loeb Leadership. It’s a symbiotic relationship where both roles will benefit from the knowledge and advancements in leadership and organizational development.
What message would you like to share with the members of SHRM and the HR community as you step into this role?
Natalie: I am deeply committed to advancing SHRM’s mission and supporting our members in creating better workplaces.
