Meet Dan McCormack

Dan is a seasoned business leader, facilitator and executive coach dedicated to providing consulting and executive coaching to the legal market and service industries. With a career spanning four decades and three separate industries, Dan can provide his clients with unique leadership, team building, financial and operational insights. Dan is a frequent speaker on leadership, strategic, and operational matters for the Association of Legal Administrators; he is a lead author of the “Study Guide for the CLM Exam” published in 2018, and since 2020 has maintained the ranking as the top Executive Coach and Management Consultant in Boston by Lawyers Weekly with similar rankings by other media sources.

Dan’s work experience includes twenty-one years as the lead administrator of the Boston office of Skadden Arps where he achieved operating results consistently at the forefront of the $2 billion global firm’s standards. Dan’s collaborative and communication skills were instrumental in relocating the office into a 35% smaller leased area yet still experiencing improvement in employee morale and engagement.

Prior to his time in the legal field, Dan served three years on the Board of Directors and held the title of CFO for a Health Care facility. During that time, Dan wrote and implemented the strategic plan that eliminated the prior years of operational deficiencies and successfully strengthened the organization’s ability to provide new and expanded services. The banking sector is where Dan’s career began and his responsibilities successfully progressed from managing a $30 million branch office, cross selling $75 million in new business loans and eventually responsibility and accountability for the credit worthiness of upwards to $100 million in bank assets.

Much like his own career, Dan’s clients fall within diverse industry sectors including the legal, banking, healthcare, real estate, investment, and other industries. Dan’s has consulted with top executives and managing partners on assignments such as merger considerations, compensation matters, corporate restructurings, operational projects, professional development initiatives and succession planning.

As an Executive and Leadership Coach, Dan has assisted Executives, Partners, and Senior Managers with a wide array of topics from improving their presentation skills, developing greater confidence, helping them become an effective leader, enhancing their communication skills, changing behavioral patterns as well as building collaborative teams.
